A crown caps a damaged tooth entirely, restoring its shape and strength when a filling alone isn't enough to hold it together. A bridge, by contrast, replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to the crowns on either side of the gap. Both are custom-fabricated to match your bite and the shade of your surrounding teeth.
Same-day crown technology, using an in-office milling machine, has cut the traditional two-visit crown process down to a single appointment at select offices. Bridges typically still require two to three visits: preparing the anchor teeth, taking impressions, and fitting the final piece.
A crown or bridge is only as durable as the tooth structure and gum health supporting it, so any underlying decay or gum disease gets addressed first. That's why a full exam and any necessary cleanup happens before impressions are taken for the final restoration.
Skip the temporary-crown wait at participating locations with same-day milling equipment.
Crown material is chosen based on tooth location, bite force, and cosmetic priority.
Shade matching ensures the restoration blends with surrounding natural teeth.
A non-surgical option for replacing missing teeth when anchor teeth are already strong enough.
